  • Yes — Colorado requires asbestos testing before all renovation or demolition projects in residential buildings. For schools and commercial buildings, testing is required regardless of the construction date to comply with federal and state regulations.

  • Asbestos testing is recommended before any renovation or demolition of any structure, regardless of age. Colorado specifically requires testing of any building prior to impact per CDPHE Regulation 8; Part B.
